COMEDY SERIES NOMINATED IN NEWLY CREATED OUTSTANDING VARIETY SKETCH SERIES CATEGORY AND OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION DESIGN FOR VARIETY, NONFICTION, REALITY OR REALITY-COMPETITION PROGRAM
NEW YORK, NY, July 16, 2015 – Today the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy® Award nominations, honoring IFC’s signature comedy, Portlandia, with two nominations. Portlandia, created and written by Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein and Jonathan Krisel, who also directs, was nominated in the newly created category of Outstanding Variety Sketch Series as well as Outstanding Production Design for Variety, Nonfiction, Reality or Reality-Competition Program.
Portlandia is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and produced by Broadway Video. It returns to IFC for a sixth season in 2016.
