New York, NY, May 18, 2011 – AMC announced the appointment of Marc Krok, Senior Vice President, AMC TV Ad Sales. Krok will oversee advertising sales for AMC in the New York region and will report to Scott Collins, Executive Vice President, AMC / WE tv Ad Sales.
In his new role, Krok will be responsible for daily operations of all ad sales related functions for business based in the New York region. His duties include setting and implementing sales strategies, development and achievement of revenue goals, and sales reporting. Additionally, Krok will serve as the first line representative of AMC to buyers, planners and clients based in the tri-state area.
Collins commented, "Marc brings a tremendous amount of ad Sales acumen to this role. The strong relationships he’s developed over the years with agencies and clients alike will benefit AMC. Marc is a highly strategic thinker, a task master, and will be a great asset to our team."
Krok is a national TV ad sales veteran with more than 15 years of experience. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Advertising Sales for DISH Network where he was a founding member of DISH Network’s first in-house advertising sales team and was responsible for establishing New York and regional ad sales offices. Prior to Dish, he worked in ad sales at NBC Universal and MTV Networks. Additionally, Krok has a background in national broadcast buying after serving at several ad agencies including Busch Media, Wieden & Kennedy and Ogilvy & Mather.
Krok graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
