Jeff Richards returns for his third season on Saturday Night Live this fall. Richards grew up in Walnut Creek, California where he graduated from Las Lomas High School.
An avid sports fan, Jeff played third base in high school and dreamed of playing for his boyhood team, the San Francisco Giants; however, he soon discovered that he was a better funnyman than a third baseman. After graduation, he went to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he perfected his stand up act.
Richards traveled across the country performing in such famous comedy clubs as Caroline’s Comedy Store, The Improvisation and The Comedy Store. He finally got his shot to be on Saturday Night Live in 2001.
In his first season with Saturday Night Live, he brought “Drunk Girl” to the show and impressions of Bill O’Reilly, Charlie Rose, David Letterman, Garry Shandling and Kevin Spacey.
Richards’ television appearances include NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Late Friday,” and CBS’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.”
The 28-year old Richards currently lives in New York, NY.
