BETHPAGE, New York, April 28, 2000- Melani Griffh has joined AMC NETWORKS as Vice President, Eastern Region, it was announced today by Kim Martin, Executive Vice President, Distribution and Marketing, AMC NETWORKS.
In her new position, Griffith will direct the sales and affiliate marketing efforts of AMERICAN MOVIE CLASSICS, ROMANCE CLASSICS and AMC’s AMERICAN POP! to east coast operators, including Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and the Caribbean. In addition, she will help Kim Martin manage key MSO accounts, including Time Warner, Adelphia and Comcast. Based in the New York City office of AMC Networks, she will manage a staff of nine sales and marketing associates.
A resident of New York City, Griffith recently completed her MBA from Columbia University Business School. Prior to that, Griffith was Director of the Southeast Region at Discovery Networks, overseeing the sales and marketing efforts in the southern states.
Griffith replaces Linda Schildkraut, who has moved to the corporate office as Vice President, Sales Process and Database Integration.
