NCTA, New Orleans – May 7, 2002 – Rainbow Media’s muchmusic usa, the nation’s only viewer-driven all music network, announced today the appointment of Mary Corigliano as Vice President of Marketing. Corigliano, who has more than 10 years of marketing experience honed at Viacom’s MTV and most recently Zilo Networks, will be responsible for building and executing the network’s marketing strategy and furthering the reach of its viewer-driven programming brand. She will report directly to muchmusic usa President, Marc Juris.

In her new role, Corigliano will be responsible for the strategic vision and creation of initiatives that build and promote brand equity, and the deployment of programs that reach key customer groups including consumers, distributors and advertisers.
Corigliano joins muchmusic usa from successful integrated college media company Zilo Networks Inc. where for two years she served as Vice President of Marketing and was part of the senior executive team that launched the company. While at Zilo, she was responsible for leading and developing the marketing strategy for Zilo’s college television network; planning, executing and overseeing national college music, sports and comedy tours; and developing sponsorship platforms for clients both on and off-air.
Prior to Zilo Networks, Corigliano spent five years at Viacom International Inc.’s MTV: Music Television where she most recently served as the Director of Consumer Products Marketing and Destination. In this position, she led and developed marketing strategy for MTV’s Ancillary Business Groups including home video, audio, licensing, publishing, audio, interactive and the radio network. In addition, she led all aspects of MTV’s participation in a global live music/restaurant joint venture. While at MTV she also served as Manager of MTV Affiliate Marketing where she developed marketing programs and MSO/Interconnect strategies focusing on generating ad sales revenue for cable affiliates and local brand awareness for MTV.
Corigliano graduated from New York University with a Master’s degree in Music Entertainment Business and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from St. John’s University.
