(Woodbury, New York, June 14, 2002) – The Press Club of Long Island has honored News 12 Long Island with thirty-four Media awards. Among the awards were sixteen First Place honors, giving News 12 Long Island and News 12 Interactive all the first place awards in the television categories and the Online categories. The awards were announced Thursday, June 13th at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. The Press Club of Long Island is the local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, recognizing excellence in Long Island media.
