News 12 Long Island Named 15 Finalists In The Press Club Of Long Island Media Awards Contest

WOODBURY, NEW YORK, May 18, 2000 – News 12 Long Island has been named as a finalist for 15 awards from the Press Club of Long Island Media Awards Contest. First place winners will be announced at the annual awards dinner, to be held June 8th at the Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury, NY.

Finalists include, “Sun Screen Suit” (Bob Butler, Steve Noon, Jeff Gartman) for Television/Deadline Reporting “Skin Deep,” (Carol Silva), “Burning Secrets,” (Mark Lagerkvist) and “A Courageous Journey” (Michael DelGiudice, Bob Butler, Doug Geed, Michael Lechner) for Television Non-Deadline Reporting, “Kids With Cancer,” (Shari Einhorn), “Aboard the Bounty,” (Mike DelGiudice, Jena Mihalovic) and “Sisters of St. Dominic” for Television/Feature Reporting, “Search for JFK’s Plane” (Bob Butler, Steve Noon) for Television-Live Event “Canoeing the Nissequogue” (Mike DelGiudice) and “What a Waste!” (Bob Butler, Dave Garden) for Television/Environment/Science/Technology, “The Pro,” (Scott Feldman, Mike DelGiudice) for Television-Sports, “A Courageous Journey” (Mike DelGiudice, Mike Lechner) for Video/News, “Sisters of St. Dominic,” “Canoeing the Nissequogue,” and “The Pro” (Mike DelGiudice) for Video/Feature.
