LOS ANGELES, CA, 2002 – WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT celebrates its' two year anniversary by reaching a milestone of 50 million subscribers nationwide, it was announced today by Kim Martin, Executive Vice President, Distribution and Affiliate Marketing, AMC Networks.
According to Nielsen Research, the 50 million mark reflects the network's addition of over 1 million subs this past month and around 26,000,000 this past year. The new subscriber number also reflects a phenomenal 50% growth over last year.
"The addition of over 26 million subs in one year is an overwhelming accomplishment," commented Martin, "it is a testament to the fact that WE is embraced by cable operators as well as viewers."
