The premiere episode of the extraordinary and highly-anticipated landmark natural history series Planet Earth III is now available to view on Screeners.com. Additional episodes will be made available on a rolling basis. Premiering on Saturday, November 4 at 8pm ET/PT on BBC AMERICA and also available the same day on AMC+, the series is executive produced by Emmy® Award-winner Mike Gunton (Planet Earth II, Dynasties II) and series-produced by Emmy® Award-nominee Matt Brandon (Cities: Nature’s New Wild), with renowned naturalist and three-time Emmy® Award-winner Sir David Attenborough (Planet Earth II, Blue Planet II, Frozen Planet II) presenting the groundbreaking and cinematic series.
Across 8 episodes, plus a ‘Making Of’ special, Planet Earth III travels to new, previously unseen locations to explore stunning landscapes and tell extraordinary stories that are dramatic, thrilling, sometimes funny, sometimes heart-breaking, but always full of hope. Each episode showcases new behaviors, pristine environments, and the remarkable strategies that animals have developed to survive. The natural world has changed more over the past few decades than ever before, and this change has been felt right across every ecosystem and by the countless creatures that we share this planet with.
We’ve now reached a critical point in our planet’s history and Planet Earth III features stories and animal characters which reflect the new challenges that wildlife faces in our modern, crowded world. While still retaining the awe, beauty, and warm accessible tone of its predecessors, the series brings a new, important insight into our increasingly fragile natural world by revealing the deep interconnectivity of all life on Earth. The final episode will feature the efforts to protect and preserve the wildlife and the critically important ecosystems of Planet Earth.
Planet Earth III is BBC Studios Natural History Production co-produced with BBC AMERICA, ZDF and France Televisions in partnership with The Open University for BBC. The executive producer is Mike Gunton, and the series producer is Matt Brandon. BBC Studios is handling global distribution.
