New York, NY/Pasadena, CA – Western Show – December 5, 2002 – Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation (RASCO) announced today that Corey Silverman, 37, has been promoted to senior vice president, Advertising Sales for muchmusic usa, the only independent voice on the music television landscape. muchmusic usa’s programming focuses on connecting viewers to the artists they love through music videos.
Silverman, who had previously held the position of vice president, Advertising Sales for Bravo and IFC, will oversee all advertising sales and sponsorship initiatives and manage the day-to-day operation of all ad sales related functions, including setting and implementing sales strategies and creating revenue goals for muchmusic usa. He will be based in New York and report directly to Arlene Manos, president of Rainbow National Network Advertising Sales.

In his previous position as Vice President, Advertising Sales for Bravo and IFC, Silverman has developed and overseen complex marketing oriented efforts that have resulted in significant revenue commitments to Bravo and IFC. With clients such as Starbucks and BMW films, he has used cross-promotional programs that have tapped on-air and on-site opportunities within Bravo and IFC and coordinated an outreach effort involving both networks programming. The success of these efforts and satisfaction of the advertisers has led both clients to recommit to Bravo and IFC for an additional year.
Silverman brings experience on both the agency and national entertainment landscape, having held senior positions with Gamesville.com, Rysher Entertainment and as a group supervisor of national broadcast strategies and buying with Foote, Cone & Belding, Inc.
He is 1987 graduate of the University of Maryland with B.S. in marketing.
