NEW YORK, (July 6, 2004) – Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation (RASCO), the advertising subsidiary of Rainbow Media Holdings LLC, has announced the promotion of Moira Prophet to director, ad sales, AMC/WE: Women’s Entertainment, and also announced today Amy Rubin has been named account executive, AMC/WE: Women’s Entertainment. These announcements mark the expansion of the Los Angeles national ad sales team now totaling seven sales professionals. They will both to report directly to Kim Woods, vice president of AMC/WE: Women’s Entertainment, Western Region Ad Sales.
Ms. Prophet joined RASCO as the first Los Angeles-based account executive for AMC/WE: Women’s Entertainment networks in August 2002, and has been responsible for maintaining and servicing a senior account list, and selling national airtime for AMC and WE: Women’s Entertainment. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Prophet will now be responsible for the overall sales strategies for AMC and WE: Women’s Entertainment in the movie studio category.
Previously, Ms. Prophet was director of group sales and promotions for Infinity Broadcasting where she developed and sold promotional programs for clients including Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox Film. Prior to that, she held several ad sales positions covering the Southwestern region for KCBS-FM, Conde Naste’s Madamoiselle magazine, and Interep in both New York and Los Angeles. Ms. Prophet is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and graduated Magna Cume Laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Television, Radio and Film Management.
Ms. Rubin comes to AMC and WE: Women’s Entertainment networks from Starcom where she led the kids and adult syndication team for Disney. Prior to Starcom, she was an account executive for OLN (Outdoor Life Network). Ms. Rubin began her advertising career at MediaVest. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
