JERICHO, NY, July 10, 2003 – Real life Charlie's Angels make their way to WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT when DIVA DETECTIVES debuts on October 22 at 8:30 PM (ET/PT). Featuring three smart and sexy female private investigators, the reality series takes viewers on a thrill ride through the sizzlin' streets of Las Vegas where the ladies kick-butt and take no prisoners.
Throughout the 13-episode season, take-charge detective SHONNA, quirky agent JULIET, and former beauty queen JOYCE seek justice for many who feel they've been wronged. Using a great deal of street smarts and infinite amount of charm, these diva detectives use the feminine touch to get the job done. Pursuing a diverse range of cases from fraud to fidelity, the series incorporates the nuances of all that is Vegas by showcasing the best and the worst of the infamous city.
DIVA DETECTIVES begins each show with a meeting about pending cases. JULIET, SHONNA and JOYCE are given assignments from their female boss, a veteran private investigator who oversees an all-female detective agency. Since nothing is more important to a detective than keeping a low profile, the detectives keep an inventory of high-tech surveillance gear they use to unobtrusively tape their suspects. From cameras posing as pens, to wireless mics, these resourceful ladies have access to all of today's state-of-the-art spy equipment, which comes in handy during their many sticky situations.
DIVA DETECTIVES is produced by Axelson-Weintraub productions in association with WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT. John Axelson and Barbara Weintrub serve as the executive producers for the series. Jeff Eisenberg, vice president of production, is the executive producer for WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT.
