JERICHO, NEW YORK – September 21, 2001 – This fall, viewers are invited to experience the culture, the people, the sights and the ambience of destinations as diverse as Ghana, Ireland, Senegal and Thailand when Season II of the reality-based travel series JOURNEY WOMEN OFF THE MAP premieres on WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT. Through the eyes, hearts and souls of women of varying backgrounds, this fascinating and inspiring series explores their dreams, desires and motivations as they travel solo to near and faraway ports of call. JOURNEY WOMEN OFF THE MAP premieres Tuesday, November 27 at 8:00PM/ET.
Each episode of JOURNEY WOMEN OFF THE MAP shadows one woman as she leaves her ordinary dwellings behind to trek alone in one of the world's most remote and extraordinary lands. This season, "Journey Women" experiences will include exploring exotic African markets in Senegal, learning how silk is made with silkworms in Thailand, witnessing a foxhunt in Ireland, meeting with descendants of slaves on the island of Jamaica, and exploring Basque customs
and culture in Northern Spain. Through these adventures, the series will show the different experiences of women, who not only learn about different cultures, but who often leave learning new things about themselves.
