Fox Sports Net's Best Damn Sports Show Period

(SUNRISE, FL) – What would it take to convince you to strip down to only a bathing suit, jump into a shower and lather up, while singing one of America's classic sports songs for an audience of hundreds of thousands of television viewers?

Not a chance? Well, that's exactly what a whole bunch of guys from South Florida have done as Fox Sports Net and Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash spent the summer searching for local baseball fans willing to sing their hearts out for all of Florida to see as part of the Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash Shower, Sing and Win promotion.

Beginning August 21, Fox Sports Net viewers will have the chance to see the television debut of the 12 "best of the best" Shower, Sing and Win contestants from the South Florida area – some might call them the "worst of the worst" – as they belt out their renditions of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in a portable shower during Fox Sports Net's live baseball coverage on Thursday, August 21, Thursday, August 28, Thursday, September 4 and Saturday, September 13.

One regional winner, Miguel Perez from Fort Lauderdale, – selected by Shawna "The Lather Babe," the promotion's co-host and judge – has been entered into the national Shower, Sing and Win competition where he will compete against contestants from 18 other cities for a chance to be crowned the 2003 Old Spice High Endurance Guy and win a trip to Los Angeles to appear on Fox Sports Net's Best Damn Sports Show Period.

Fox Sports Net viewers can visit http://www.oldspice.com to view streaming video of each of the 19 regional winners and vote on who they think deserves the 2003 Old Spice High Endurance Guy crown. Viewers can also visit the site through September 15, 2003 to enter the Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash Shower, Sing and Win Sweepstakes for a chance to win $10,000. "Old Spice knows that guys love being the center of attention, and singing and sudsing with Old Spice Body Wash is a fun way of getting their '15-minutes of fame,'" said Ami Kulkarni, Assistant Brand Manager, Old Spice. "This is the second year we've partnered with Fox Sports Net to launch a new product and it continues to be a winning collaboration."

The first incarnation of Shower, Sing and Win took place last summer in five markets to support the launch of Old Spice High Endurance Soap.

"Shower, Sing and Win has been a true partnership with Old Spice that ties seamlessly into our baseball coverage with a style that screams 'Fox Sports Net,' said Nancy Newman, Vice President, Integrated Marketing, Fox Sports Net. "And while we can't guarantee that any of our contestants are the next big music sensation, we can assure everyone that they smell great after their Shower, Sing and Win experience."

South Florida area residents will sing in the shower on Fox Sports Net during live game coverage on Thursday, August 21 at 9:05pm, Thursday, August 28 at 7:00pm, Thursday, September 4 at 1:30pm and Saturday, September 13 at 6:00pm.
