New York, March 9 2009 – Sundance Channel announced today a new multiplatform initiative to raise awareness of green choices, and support the launch of the third season of THE GREEN. One of the network’s cornerstone initiatives of the year, THE GREEN, presented by Robert Redford, will launch on Tuesday, April 21st at 9pm with the debut of an original series "Eco-Trip: The Real Cost of Living" featuring eco-adventurer David de Rothschild, the Australian series "Carbon Cops’ at 9:30pm followed by the television premiere of the acclaimed documentary film Flow: For The Love of Water at 10pm.
Isabella Rossellini’s short film series "Green Porno" launches a new season on sundancechannel.com on April 1, 2009. THE GREEN is the network’s weekly primetime destination devoted to environmental programming.
"The strategy behind the programming and creative campaign in the third season is to emphasize that green can be fun and to connect audiences to the new "Faces of Green" on Sundance Channel" said Sarah Barnett, Sundance Channel senior vice president, Marketing. "It is the vision and stories of these amazing hosts and eco-visionaries that will encourage consumers to engage with our content and hopefully be inspired and equipped to make positive change in their lives," Barnett commented.
The network’s diverse roster of eco-minded hosts and personalities includes David de Rothschild ("Eco Trip"), Josh Dorfman ("The Lazy Environmentalist"), Isabella Rossellini (Green Porno), and Simran Sethi and Majora Carter (hosts) – all of whom are featured in the campaign on-air, in print and on-line.

"This is the largest multi-platform initiative for THE GREEN that Sundance Channel has ever undertaken. Our goal is to inspire positive change on this planet, and the best way to do that is with entertaining stories that show how living a greener life can be easy, thrifty, unexpected and fun" said Sarah Barnett.
Beginning March 30, Sundance Channel will roll out a robust marketing campaign to support the new season of THE GREEN, with outdoor advertising in New York and Los Angeles, national television spots, and a strong digital presence. On April 28th,
