Los Angeles, CA, July 15, 2007 – Ever wonder what happens in the after life? Is there a spiritual realm that we can actually make contact with? Satisfy your curiosity with WE tv Saturdays this fall, as we introduce to you a unique programming block fully equipped to help answer some of your most inquisitive thoughts. Beginning Saturday, September 8, at 8pm ET / 7c, WE begin our evening with an all new series, "Rescue Mediums" where we meet two women who have a knack for contacting spirits and settling them in the after life, followed by a host of one-hour specials dedicated to the unknown, and ending with the one and only, John Edward, as he returns with a second season of "John Edward Cross Country."
Starting off the night is the new series, "Rescue Mediums" premiering at 8pm ET / 7c. This series follows two acclaimed international psychics, Christine Hamlett and Jackie Dennison, as they contact ghostly visitors that inhabit and disturb homes and businesses. Jackie and Christine are sisters-in-law who have been psychic since their childhood. They've taken their special gift and turned it into work as rescue mediums, visiting private residences, hotels, bars, Stately homes, tourist destinations – almost anywhere that people say is haunted. They contact the spirit and solve the haunting, often enticing the presence toward a proper after life. They take their abilities seriously but add a splash of humor to each and every session. Each episode features a different location and a unique set of spirits. The home owners and business operators describe what they've seen and the experiences they've had. For instance, on Wolfe Island they tackle a disturbed spirit of a wayward priest; in Nova Scotia they meet the spirit of a famous businessman who passed away many years before, leaving a surprising legacy. Some spirits are very disturbing and some are just annoying, but one thing is for sure, the Rescue Mediums will tackle them all. Spirits beware! "Rescue Mediums" will consist of 37 half-hours premiering back-to-back.
The thrill of mystery has timeless appeal and as a tribute to the unknown, WE tv will premiere a series of one-hour intriguing tales beginning at 9pm ET / 8c. From "Extreme Ghost Stories" to "Abducted by UFOs" and "Ultimate 10 Unexplained Mysteries," satisfy your natural curiosity.
Our night would not be complete without the world-famous psychic medium John Edward. "John Edward Cross Country" returns for a second season beginning at 10pm ET / 9c with more dramatic readings and personal revelations. Now, based in a custom-built New York studio setting where John continues his group-readings, John continues to travel cross-country for more detailed and intimate individual readings with those seeking comfort and answers about their departed loved ones. And this season, we go with John as he visits and reads for some well-known faces such as Vanessa Williams, Shanna Mokler, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lorraine Bracco, James Kyson Lee, Patti Austin, Leeza Gibbons, Eileen Davidson, and Ron Moss as they reach out to their departed loved ones. "John Edward Cross Country" consists of 12 one-hour episodes.
