On Monday, June 12th WE will celebrate the third season of the network's hit original series, Bridezillas, which premiered Sunday, June 11 at 10 pm ET, with the "2nd Annual Running of the Bridezillas." During the event, 20 brides-to-be will invade Times Square for the chance to win $25,000 towards a dream wedding, but it won't be easy.
Testing strength, agility and the ability to handle anything in a wedding gown, these brides will have to navigate several wedding obstacles on their way to the altar.
- 20 ladies in full wedding fashions will rush through Time Square to a 6 foot wedding trellis filled with hanging bouquets.
- At the trellis they will jump to grab one of the bouquets, which must be with them when they cross the finish line.
- Then they climb "Brideback Mountain" an 8 foot tall, frosting covered slope.
- Once over the mountain the first woman to cross the photo finish line with her bouquet will win the cash prize of $25,000 toward her big day.
Bridezillas takes a comedic look at how brides-to-be go from sweet to certifiable while planning their big day. The rising popularity of the series has managed to bring the term "bridezillas" into mainstream pop culture as an expression for those women who have gone from engaged to enraged. In season three, grooms-to-be become targets for the stress induced fury of these brides. The 18 episodes of Bridezillas season three are produced by September Films and run one hour each.
