BOSTON, MA – May 22, 2012 – WE tv announced the appointment today of Mary Scotti to the role of vice president, business affairs. Scotti is responsible for negotiating WE tv’s rights related to original productions, marketing, business development and talent deals. Based in New York, Scotti reports to Theresa Patiri, vice president, production management & operations and Dom Atteritano, vice president, legal & business affairs.
“Mary is a key addition to our team,” said Patiri. “She has a proven track record of creating innovative deals that will help foster new business opportunities and relationships for WE tv.”
Previously, Scotti served as vice president, business and legal affairs at Viacom Media Networks where she negotiated and finalized agreements for series development and production for Nickelodeon, Nick-at-Nite, TeenNick and NickMom and handled licensing agreements for series acquisitions for Nickelodeon and Nicktoons, covering domestic and international territories. Prior to that, she was director, business and legal affairs for VH1. In this role, Scotti negotiated, drafted and finalized agreements with talent, production personnel and vendors for series, specials and live events. She also held positions at EMI Records USA.
Scotti earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Baruch College, an Associates in Applied Science in Office Technology from Pace University and holds a certificate in paralegal studies from Adelphi University.
