Los Angeles, CA, July 15, 2007 – Single modern women say that it's difficult to find a good man; well, maybe the guys are actually still around, but not necessarily in the big city! In WE tv's original series, "Girl Meets Cowboy," premiering Sunday, October 14 at 10pm ET/9c, ladies looking for love take a chance with a change of scenery and see what it's like to date old fashion Westerners instead of big city hot shots!
In each episode of "Girl Meets Cowboy," four city girls who are friends, sisters or co-workers relocate to rural America, where they must win a cowboy's heart through a series of country challenges. These women have only dated urban men in metropolitan cities like New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Miami and Chicago. But this time they are giving homegrown heroes a try! The ladies, expecting first class treatment, are in for a surprise. Their activities consist of real ranch-hand work, including bailing hay, cleaning horse manure out of stables, and corralling cattle. The object of their affection, the hunky Cowboy, monitors their every step, looking at their individual work ethic and ability to become a part of his world.
These girls will be challenged to step outside of what they know and change in ways they never imagined…all in the name of love! Amidst the hard work and toil, they'll have opportunities to get to know their Cowboy on a more intimate level. Through a series of romantic dates, the cowboy will show these city girls the real Western way to woo a lady. These Western locales include White Stallion Ranch in Tucson, Arizona; Rainbow Trout Ranch in Antonito, Colorado; Triangle C Ranch in Dubois, Wyoming, Big Sky Ranch in Big Sky, Montana; Spanish Spring Ranch in Ravendale, California and Paradise Guest Ranch in Buffalo, Wyoming.
Ultimately, our Cowboy has to make a tough decision – choosing the one woman who he feels he has the best connection with, which may very well affect both of their lives forever! The cowboy and his chosen woman will receive an all-expense paid vacation, where they'll explore their new relationship in an urban environment. For the city girls voted off, they will receive a year subscription to Match.com. Yee haw!
