NEW YORK, NY – January 14, 2019 – WE tv announced today the first-ever live TV event for its popular series, “Growing Up Hip Hop”, with a two-hour interactive special airing on Thursday, January 17th. “Growing Up Hip Hop”, and its successful spinoff “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta” have helped maintain WE tv’s reign as the #1 cable network for African-American women on Thursday nights.
“Growing Up Hip Hop” cast members, including Angela, Vanessa and Jojo Simmons, Romeo Miller, Egypt Criss and Boogie Dash, will answer viewers’ questions via phone and social media, while watching the episodes together in real time. The live TV event, hosted by special guest Sherri Shepherd and featuring two surprise guests, will broadcast throughout the back-to-back original episodes of “Growing Up Hip Hop” at 8pm and 9pm ET/PT.
