Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover Marks First-Time Ad Buy with New Original Series Adventures in Doggie Daycare
PETCO Returns to the Network with New Original Series America's Cutest Puppies
New York, NY – September 25, 2006 – WE tv, the only cable network dedicated to helping women connect to one another and the world around them, announced today that they have signed on two advertisers for the network's new original pet programming series. Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover, a WD40 brand, marks their first-time ad buy on the network, for Adventures in Doggie Daycare, featuring a day in the life of Seattle's upscale Downtown Dog Lounge. PETCO signed on to support WE tv's new original series America's Cutest Puppies, featuring puppies from around the country competing for the title and pet products from the popular pet product chain, PETCO. Their ad buy makes them a returning advertiser at WE tv. Their initial ad buy ran in April of 2004. Adventures in Doggie Daycare and America's Cutest Puppies premiere in March of 2007.
As part of the sponsorship agreements both PETCO and Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover receive tagged tune-ins and billboards. Product integration will also be included within each series with Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover featured in cleaning an area rug in Adventures in Doggie Daycare and PETCO mentioned and featured throughout all 11 episodes of America's Cutest Puppies. Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover also receives online presence including logo, link, banner advertisement and insertion into the monthly newsletter distributed to all of WE tv's registered users and branded, exclusive video segments highlighting outtakes from the series to air online at WE.tv and on WE tv On Demand.
"Creating original programming dedicated to the pet category is a natural fit for WE tv since so many women put their pets first, making them a true part of their family," said Arlene Manos, President, Rainbow National Network Advertising Sales. "At WE tv we are always looking for new and unique ways to create personalized packages for our advertisers so that we may seamlessly communicate their specific brand messages to our core audience of women. Because of our increased slate of original programming we are able to offer our advertisers customized integrated multi-platform packages, attracting new and key advertisers to the network."
Adventures in Doggie Daycare is an eight-part half-hour show featuring a day in the life of Seattle's upscale Downtown Dog Lounge. "The Lounge" is one of the most extravagant dog daycares in the U.S., stocked with dynamic employees, eccentric and demanding canine owners and unique dogs. The series features a staff that does whatever it takes to please its furry clients and owners, by providing services and events ranging from aromatherapy, "pawdicures" and herbal baths, to birthday parties, hiking trips and many other fun-filled retreats.
America's Cutest Puppies is an 11-part, half-hour show chronicling a contest between puppies from across the United States, as they compete to win the title and pet products from PETCO. The series visits pet friendly locations in regional cities across the country, in search of the most cuddly, precocious, heart-stealing little pooch, under eight months old. America's Cutest Puppies cameras capture the excitement, anticipation and angst as hundreds of dog-owners show up, attempting to earn their puppy a place among the final dozen, where they pitch their case for the "perfect pup"; show off their puppy's personality in a playpen; and go one-one-one with the judges, presenting their puppy's looks, personality and charm.
