LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, November 29, 2000 – When it launches in January 2001, WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT plans to add original films to its programming line-up. The network has given the green light to its first project, the directorial debut of Academy Award-winner Faye Dunaway, and entered into a development partnership with IFC Films, run by WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT’S sister network, The Independent Film Channel.
Dunaway makes her directorial debut with the film adaptation of the Tennessee Williams’ play, The Yellow Bird. Production on the film began in Los Angeles on November 24. Starring Academy Award
