JERICHO, NY, MARCH 1, 2001 – As part of THE FASHION SPECTACULAR, a month-long salute to fashion on WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT, the network will premiere “DONATELLA VERSACE”, an exclusive look at the life and career of the contemporary fashion designer. The documentary will premiere Sunday, April 8 at 8:00PM/ET.
Fashion fans will be treated to a rare glimpse into the life of designer Donatella Versace. Donatella, the glamorous and flamboyant sister of Gianni Versace, was thrust into the limelight after Gianni’s murder in 1997. Skeptics questioned whether the Versace dynasty could survive without Gianni – it has not only survived but has flourished with Donatella at the helm. The documentary features rare interviews with Donatella, as well as her close friends and colleagues who give unique insight into her life, including designer Karl Lagerfeld, singer Jon Bon Jovi and actress Melanie Griffith.
WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT’S month-long salute to fashion in April is called “THE FASHION SPECTACULAR”.
